京都祇園のお茶屋は、言わずと知れた一見さんお断りの眩く、艶やかで、甘美な夢の世界です。
フトしたきっかけから、舞妓「田ね文（たねふみ）」の十代から芸妓となるまでの数年間を中判カメラ「ライカＳ」をメインに撮ることができました。
「舞妓から芸妓への儀式『襟替え』の風景」、「和ろうそくの灯りに映し出される妖艶な芸妓：陰影礼賛」、「著名な藍染作家による浴衣姿で南禅寺散策」等を展示します。

Geisha (or called "Geiko" in Kyoto) are professional entertainers who attend guests during meals, banquets and other occasions. They are trained in various traditional Japanese arts, such as dance and music, as well as in the art of communication. Their role is to entertain customers by singing, dancing, playing musical instruments, and engaging in flirtatious but intelligent conversation.
There I was fascinated by a Maiko called “Tanefumi”, so that engrossed in taking her photos with a medium-format digital camera called "Leica S".
